Re: Krull is BACK!! a slow WIP.
Here are the boys with there first stage skin basecoat. Both will become lighter, Krull especially, but there will be a hint of red through the figures to ensure harmony. http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p708/evl_hmr/P6090082_zpsed12f356.jpg http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p708/evl_hmr/P60900...

Sorn. The figures aren't for me, never got into D&D, but you are 100% correct, Bohun is my favourite artist, and so I am impressed nonetheless. I actually blew the Mini's up onto my PC screen, they are so good, way better than I first thought. Not my type of Mini's, but I can wholeheartedly appr...

Not really loving the armour as much as I thought I would, but the shield just pops. The reds are glowing. Really solid work again, you are like a painting machine. Top drawer, really excellent work.

Re: Darklands Models
Thank you so much for these posts. I must say I'm not keen on the other world figures, but this thread became awesome again with the alternative Malacant. That is such an inspiration, especially as I'm in the process of painting mine up. Thank you again.

After spotting a couple of mold lines I have re-undercoated the big fella, and his little mate, and now they are dressed in lovely yellow masking tape, ready for a touch of gold http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p708/evl_hmr/P6040075_zpsb501ffee.jpg http://i1347.photobucket.com/albums/p708/evl_hmr...

I'm still working on the double axes, but as I was off work today, I took the opportunity to get the airbrush out and lay down the undercoat. I'm working on Malacant too, so he will begin to pop up soon. Sorry for the blurry photo's, I was using a little camera that doesn't seem to have a macro sett...

Hi people As most of you know, I had a lovely little Krull, but he took a rather nasty flight into a wall earlier in the year and , well, RIP. However, thanks the amazing generosity of an unnamed but hugely respected individual, I now have a new one :D And this one will have 2 axes!! I'll start a sl...

Different things now. Dragon men! only the undercoat and base layers been laid down, 99% of this done with my airbrush! I'm beginning to get some form of control from it now. Oh, and my bases. I'm going destroyed, luxury, time forgotten etc. Real dirt, Scibor elven base parts, real twigs, some flint...

Re: grant's finished models
Hi Grant, as I said in the KS, if you just really thin a couple of colours, I like purple and green, to a glaze, whereas there is hardly any colour visible and add these colours to your metals, it will create a really nice hue that breaks up the silver. You can use glazes on anything, and you are at...

Sorry fellas
I posted this, never saw anybody on the KS from Australia, so never bothered to check back. Seems I missed you all!
I'm in South East, Oakleigh to be exact. Not got around to reading the rules, but happy to have a go.

I was and am very pleased with both kickstarters. Not a lot of things I would change. 1 unlucky thing more than a mistake was the start of Bones ii. Some people want loads of tat, others want art! Bad timing possibly. There are a lot of opinions, not all that constructive, one person seems to have g...

Say hello to the Bad Guys!
After a few months away, I've got back into my resin pile. I've had accidents and incidents, my Krull got sprayed a lovely yellow after I forgot to move him from air brush range! Not to worry, a nice bath in Simple Green cleared him right up, so I decided I'd change hgis colour from traditonal red t...

A Krull thread. Finally. Maybe I should have started one? I cut down the weapon too, suits him better IMO. Double headed axe though, that's the way to go. I'll stick a couple of my pics up. Great thread though, really informative

I like what you have achieved, maybe you could thin your paints a little to help make the skin smoother next time. Also, the base is a little random, maybe make it a little more realistic, use it to help tell the story of your miniature. Really great though, thanks for posting.

razormage - Yep, too contrasty for me, but I do appreciate your style, and as you play, you need something to make your figures stand out from the crowd, and I am sure your's do. I really enjoy seeing other artists (we are artists after all) with a style of their own, not a GW massed factory output,...

Quids- The body was a little warped, but a nice hot bath sorted it out. There were some awful mould lines that I just couldn't sort, the mini looked as if the mold had slipped! hence the slight changes of additional chains and skulls, which hide what I couldn't fix and there was a fair bit of greens...

Far superior to my attempts, but I feel the contrasts are too severe for me. I'd want to to glaze the skin with some blues and purples to tie the highlights back a bit. Apart from that, brilliant, and a really good and interesting step by step. I really like your NMM too.

Really nice, natural mini's. I am really impressed by your bases too, ready for gaming but also very in line with the models. Also the mini's are quite steamlined, which really suits your painting style.

I like the idea you have, but iguana's are not dragons! once you remove the mould lines and use some glazes to smooth your transactions you should have a nice little dragon there. Re: Removing mold lines
Mold lines are an necessary evil with all miniatures. Some have barely any, some the mold, has, slipped and half the, model will need to be scrapped and filed and rebuilt. For me, the worst thing on a mini is a mold line.Personally, it takes me hours to clean a resin mini, I also use watered down milip...

Hello, this is my WIP of Kraan's bear. I am planning on a little conversion of Kraan for the bear, just arm/weapon/shield swap, so he isn't here at the mo. So far I have just laid down my basic colour scheme, the armour will be darker, and the fur of the bear will lighten a little, although from my ...
