Re: Kickstarters that Might Interest you

OK, for those who have not been following the Incursion Kickstarter, they have had MAJOR updates and revisions to the pledge levels. Buckets of Blood now has 108 minis included with it (soon to be 110 with another stretch goal in reach), and the T-Shirt and extra board are swappable for many differe...

The chain mail on Inavaak is great! And the hell scape is very nice. I could use some if those for HellDorado.

Re: Howdy from Texas

Well, all I will have is a small Ysian force...what is the dates for the convention?

I will be out of town from August 1-6, and my wife has a fundraiser on the evening of the 10th.

Let me know! I plan on starting on the Ax Drunes tonight or tomorrow.

Hope to actually have rules by then!

Re: Howdy from Texas

Ryan, I have not forgotten about the plan, and have begun to work on Euraylia. I hope to have her and my remaining Melusines done by the time the Brute starter arrives. I am also painting a Space Wolf force at the same time since my friends dragged me back into 40k... It is only fair. I am getting t...

Sculpt: Bloodmaw
Paint job: Magaan

The sheer detail in Magaan's armor coupled with the striped tiger cloak is amazing.

Amazing work! I need to learn that stippling technique...I have a small horde of trolls coming and I would love to duplicate that scheme...or at least have mine not suck.

Also, I love that bloody sack.

Re: Finished work by popular demand...and daleks.

The Brute base is Micro Art Studio and the Melusines are on Scibor bits. As for the skin tone...A) I suck at pale flesh and B) I have a HUGE Drune army in various stages of paint...all dark skinned. Originally the Ysians were going to augment them...but now I think the Drunes will augment my Ysians....

Finished work by popular demand...and daleks.

Well, popular demand by AndyS.

Since I cannot figure out how to post images here, here is a link to my new Tumblr blog:

Who knows. I may fill it with images of random stuff.

Please let me know if you approve or think I need desperate help!

Re: Kickstarters that Might Interest you

Also, Kickstarter and Indiegogo news: Kensei Fantasy Creatures on Indiegogo is going nuts. The 5th huge creature lot is almost unlocked, and there are now tons if options available. Heroes of Normandie have unlocked the DUST and Crhulhu mods, and added more stuff. £65K and going. Myth is looking goo...

Re: Kickstarters that Might Interest you

Not a Kickstarter, but Zenit Miniatures in Spain is running their Kensai Indiegogo campaign...and it has already funded the first set of beasties. Also, there is a substantial discount on their normal product range, and lots of free minis for early backers. Also, the Heroes of Normandie on KS is doi...

Re: Kickstarters that Might Interest you

THON just upped their stretch goals like crazy...the project creator assumed too much at first, and he seems to try to be making up for it. Sci-fi, but a good concept.

Re: Preparing resin models

Pretty much echoing the main posters here. I trim and clean the resin first, pin all the relevant joints and check for fit, then go in for the warm water and toothbrush trick. I tend to let the bits dry overnight though before basecoat and assembly. If you live in the US the cheap Wal Mart generic s...

@Darq Hunter, which extras do you not want? I am in WWX at Repulsive +Wicked right now, and mostly what I want are the extras. I will have too many heavies to care about at my current rate...maybe a trade can be arranged?

Just a quick shout out to a cool deck of playing cards: Surrealscapes Body Art Playing Cards. These are awesome and the project creator just moved them to the "tabletop games" category on Kickstarter.

But you also have to look at who their target audience is...experienced wargamers. Most of us have been playing wargames for decades (old Rogue Trader here) and since the minis are a) expensive and b) resin it assumes that we are also likely older adults with years of painting and assembling kits un...

Ryan, that would be great! I'll look up the info on it as well...depending on who is involved I may be able to help convince them if that option.
