Re: Help! Trying to put a host together and bit doing well.

Host 2 does look fun. I'm (slowly) working towards having an 'all big guy' muster for Albainn myself.

Re: Help! Trying to put a host together and bit doing well.

I like that 3rd list (from Fortiu). It might lack some big guys and hitting power but those 2 blocks of spears that can shieldwall will be tough to move, just watch out for template-using magic. You'll be light on earthing and redirection with so few oghu stones in there too. Instead of artifacts to...

Re: Help! Trying to put a host together and bit doing well.

I would suggest something along the lines of: Oghurithne Mormaer with the 5 Ohurithne as his sworn unit and the 3 Oghurithne hunters bound to them and the Savage Oghurruc as a petitioned (or get an Oghurond instead). Oghur uhmaer and the 5 oghur as his sworn. Ciniod on foot as Camaer with Gairlom as...

Re: Help! Trying to put a host together and bit doing well.

Unless you have a lot of humans from Fortriu, you'll likely have to have a general from Cait as it's easier to fill your % with bigger lads.
The only real downside of that is you may lack a little authority .

I'll take a closer look at you collection and work out a potential list tonight.

Sell Swords

Has anyone put much thought into a Sell Sword muster? Could they be genuinely competitive? Is it possible to just pick the 'best' infantry/monsterous infantry/missile troops/monsters/etc and call it a muster? What would be everyone's 'go-to' unit and why? The idea of a mismatched force of mercenarie...

Re: photography requirements.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll be honest, you're probably a little more on the ball than I am - I was planning to do an update soon to tell everybody where I am at, but I am utterly snowed under right now and there's no chance I'll get the rules done for Salute. It's just impossible with all the ...

Ok, so as per Rob's whatsapp instruction, what follows below is my list of questions related to the photography. Most of the queries are predominantly for myself and Scott (Ministry_of_fear) because physically being on the same landmass as the rest of you is likely to be hurdle. Let me preface by sa...

Albainn Tattoos

The Albainn penchant for painting themselves with mysticalagical symbols in blue woad; is tgat specific to the humans or does it spill over to the Oghurithne, Oghurs, etc?
Or is it rhe other way round; am adaption or bastardization of an Oghurithne or Oghur custom adopted by the humans?

I'm still not entirely happy with their eyes. They look a bit derp-y to me.
(but i'm not in a rush to change them either, plenty more minis to paint yet.)

Are there any particular "go-to" tactics that other Albainn players are using? Or is just a case of hold the line with spear & shield while the Elbharu pepper the enemy with bolts and the big guys mop things up? Are there any units/combos that stand oit as "must-have's" when ...

Happy to put my hand up for the Albainn, although being in the colonies (Australia specifically) physically getting to other side of the world for a photo shoot may be problematic.
