Beautiful Lord of the Rings models Sorn, love the subtle armour details on the gentlemen (and the unadorned patterned bases look great too), the lady is quite spectacularly detailed too, especially given their size.
Quite a bit smaller than the standard 28mm heroic stuff. ^_^

Love that the freehand is also painted in such a way as to suggest embroidery, rather than stencilling. :D Really cool models.

My current plan is to have a whole bunch of custom battlefoam trays made, both for Darklands and Kingdom Death : Monster.
It'll cost a small fortune no doubt, but BFs stuff rather nice quality from what I've seen. :D

Bohuns extreme highlights really work well on metal surfaces it seems, and the blue and red accents to individual plates really work well.

Do you thin the metallic paints too? Depending on the finish I want I'll use different thinning agents for my metallics. Water is always a good standby and won't change the paint much. If you want the metallic to be slightly less shiny, then using something like Vallejo Model Colour Thinner is a go...
