For Sale! selling a few oldies for shiny new things!

Hi chaps! I have some awesome stuff for sale that I just know I'll never get round to painting. I've decided it's wasted sitting boxed in the drawer! All are unassembled etc, in bags, no fancy box but boxed for postage. Payment by PayPal. PM for details. Postage about £3 per item I think! (UK second...

Yes. Please keep posting. You seem to get the models painted quicker and in some cases better than Mierce do. It is useful and inspirational. If only you could get Seb to put together a WIP thread for us!

It will be some time afraid. I'm not happy with the results so far so I'm put him away for a bit.
I started the Wealwulfs, but not happy with them either! My painting mojo has gone. I'm gonna find something easy to get me back into it.

Mini clear out

I've realised that I have some minis which I will just never get round to painting. So I may as well swap or sell them! So far I have identified Glaun (asking £35) and Aradae Mawr (asking £24) these are the prices I paid on the KS so I think thats fair enough. Postage will be at cost. I hope these f...

Those Seb paint jobs are fantastic. Uhtred is just right, down to the colour of the cloak! I'll stick my neck out and say your Vithar is an improvement on the official Mierce one. I do prefer Sebs work to Martin's. It a matter of taste of course. Rollo is also superb. The character in that face is j...

Re: Blue Armour

Looks like you just need to paint it as normal metal, then give it some dark blue washes. You'll need to re-touch some parts but it should work. I wouldn't try any of the blue metallics you can get, they just look weird. Or< you could add some dark blue to your metallic base colour.

Don't be afraid to go too far with the highlights Andy. You can always glaze them back down after. The face was very frustrating. Trying not to make it too cartoonish was a problem for me.

I agree with Darth, you need more variation in tones. Plus more contrast. Lighten the highlights, darken the recesses. Umm, take a look at mine? Plus Bohun's and of course, Ben Comets studio version. Ben's is the one I used for reference.

Hey fellas! I've been asked about my bases quite a bit. So I thought I'd do a WIP here for Penda's base. I will probably do one for a larger model too at some point. Penda is quite a big model on quite a small base. Even so I want it to look like a 'Darklands' base. Not a generic fantasy base. So I ...
