Nearly but not quite, the shape of the front shoulders would be slightly different as the weight would be shifted to the front.

Re: Breffs WIP

Ye I use it in pretty much everything. Works really well on bigger and fatter minis. Some of the smaller ones are kinda hard to get a good result. Do you use spray cans or an airbrush? I find the airbrush gives much better results, smoother, finer spots and smoother transitions. I still over do it s...

Re: Breffs WIP

Cheers Andy. It's over spray from basing the flesh with an airbrush. I think it's medium flesh from Vallejo. I primed black then sprayed grey from above for the zenithal lighting. Lots of flesh tones as glazes with dark blue added for the deepest shadows.

Started Nung, photos are a bit crap, took them with my phone. The flesh is pretty much done, I'll add a bit if red/purple around the outgrowths. The axehead needs a bit more work. Then onto the metals. http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af186/breff007/Darklands/IMG_2984.jpg http://i1006.photobucket...

Re: Aniku's WIPs

Hi Aniku, I really like this so far. For the fur on the Carrowhek cloak I first put down very wet paint and wet blended these together. Light on the outside and a dark stripe going through the middle. Doesn't have to be perfect just enough to get the background. Then I shade with thinned down gw gla...

As there's no feedback for trades on the forum I thought I'd stick a post here. The trade was perfect, quick communication and the parcel arrived with everything really well packaged and in perfect condition. All in all a perfect transaction!

Re: Filling in the gaps...

Pretty much exactly what war child said. Liquid greenstuff really is only for filling thin cracks. Humbrol. do a tube called model putty which is pretty much identical to liquid greenstuff but you get much more of it so works out better value but it stinks.

Re: Breff007's Finished Models

I can't remember the exact colours but I'll dig out what I can remember when I get home. I generally have an idea of the end result and then play around with the colours as I go. I never really complete one area and move to the next, I often go back and tweet each area as I progress. I knew I wanted...

Re: Quick question about parry dice

Cheers crazy feet. That's nearly how we played it as well. We played that the extra dice like the duguth have would be rolled at the same time eg four attack dice on duguth, they would roll 6 dice to block 4 attack dice. The re-rolls make more sense. The one that still confuses me is that the sword ...

Re: Breff007's Finished Models

@ Razormage. The shading was done with a really dark blue with a touch of grey to desaturate it a bit. I think teh blue was the darkest shade in the Andrea Blue set. Some shadows had a bit of red glazed onto them to play around with warm/cold. I kinda play around with all the colors until they look ...

Re: Quick question about parry dice

Still a bit confused  Do the Drunes get the same amount of parry dice as hit dice on them? Eg 4 hit dice = 4 parry dice. They have light armour listed but do not have any extra parry dice listed under it. Do the Duguth get the same amount of parry dice as hit dice with up to two extra (1 from ...

Quick question about parry dice

Quick one about parry dice that I was looking for a bit of guidance. This is how we play it - Attack dice are totaled - Parry dice = amount of attack dice if the unit has parry dice listed on some of their equipment. If there are extra parry dice listed (similar to attack dice) these are extra and c...

Breff007's Finished Models

Finally got around to finishing Glaun. Really enjoyed painting him. First photo is fuzzy, still figuring out how to take proper photos of minis.

Let me know what you guys think of him.

Got more work on his skin and especially his face. Added more texture, more contrast in the mid tone and highlights. Painted his mouth and tested colours on his horns http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af186/breff007/IMG_0605.jpg http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af186/breff007/IMG_0602.jpg http:...

Breffs WIP

Here are a couple of pics of Glaun. I have still a fair bit to go, the feathers are only based, needs highlights and shadows. Skin is nearly done, needs more contrast between the highlights and shadows. http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af186/breff007/IMG_0539591x640.jpg http://i1006.photobucket.c...
