Re: AndyS Trolls part 2 'It's hammer time!'
Great improvement on the hammers, strapping looks good too. Awesome work. You've inspired me to buy some magic sculpt and have a go at some customisation.

Probably too late now. However, i think straps will improve things greatly but you may still need to shorten the handles, they do seem a bit on the long side to me. Great looking work though, can't wait to see a full unit

Like what you've done with these, I prefer the more natural looking tones of AndyS's trolls but even with your high contrast style they look fantastic. On a tabletop surrounded by your other works these are going to look awesome

No shame in that. I generally follow studio colour schemes anyway. Must put the effort in and crack on with my trolls, not touched a brush since the wamp comp ended.

Sounds nasty. Not done this for a long time but a massive tip for people is this. When you're sitting down and you drop your craft/xacto knife, fight the urge to bring your legs together in an effort to catch it. Fight it with all your might

Andy P Norse
So I've chosen Norse as my project and picked a small, simple force that I can pit against another small monstrous infantry force to introduce some friends to Darklands. This consists of: Eiric - Steersman 82G Troll unit of 5 inculding champion 414G Total 496G http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a53...

Re: Autumn/Winter 2013 Challenge - signup thread
Think I've decided on Norse:
Eiric - Steersman 82G
Troll unit of 5 inculding champion 414G
Total 496G
Will upload photos tonight. Some trolls are already base coated but I have a second set I can use as before shots.

Re: Lessons learned from KS 2?
Good idea Ryan. The biggest thing I think is the price of the miniatures. Not that they are expensive for high quality resin pieces, quite the opposite, but I think if you look at any of the kickstarter projects that use hand cast resin to create high detail, well sculpted minis, none reach the dizz...

Progress! But not what you might expect. Since I don't have Ryan's basement I am fairly limited for space to store a 6' x 4' terrain table (even a modular one) therefore I had to come up with a solution. I had this plan in my head from the start and since the weather is now turning colder and I will...
