Question on Dragontooth artefact in Brythoniaid muster. There's the possibility that the Called Draig will exceed the maximum size of the unit. What should happen in this case? While it should be obvious, nothing in the rules for the artefact says that the Called Draig unit has no options (champion,...

Monsters represent the cool factor of Darklands, and have all sorts of cool abilities: Mighty Strike, Terrible/Vicious Damage, etc. However, monsters have low skill compared to humans, which means that they won't be able to trigger those abilities on ...

Re: Host's Staff
Hmmm not sure if he can be the general - I don't think any host warriors can be. I'll have a think about that. Using Brythoniaid as an example, Uchelwr could be the general. They can take the options to be the Host Banner Bearer or Host Herald (unless I'm missing something). My belief is that the c...

Gwaelod tactics
Gwaelod suffers from the low authority of the Prifdyndraig, low skill of Dyndraig, and that all units are “wild” or “feral”. The low authority of the Prifdyndraig means that the army will often not have the initiative against human-led forces. This also means that issuing new orders may be less effe...

I have a piggy-back question. I'm looking at the Brythoniaid muster (2.01), specifically the Prifdyndraig. I see that Cadben may be taken as companion warchief, and that the Cadben can muster some other units. However, Prifdyndraig are only from the realm of Gwaelod, and the Cadben and the other uni...

Your dyndraig/cawrdraig are wild and have a fairly low skill compared to humans. I've leaned into rhelfwr as the bulk of my force, as they have volley shoot. Teulu are elite, and can effectively pull off some things like falling back in the face of a charge. If you don't want to double up, both of t...

The Werbera Thegn has his muster abilities Compel, Influence, and Kinsman attached to his bear form, but he starts the battle in human form. Am I correct in assuming that these abilities can be used during mustering? Beowa, another Gesceap, has his muster abilities attached to his human form.

Uhtred is the only sell-sword that says "or as a noble individual, general or commander" in his rules. No other sell-sword include the "general" text. Does that mean that he is the only sell-sword that can be a general outside of his home kindred? Or can any sell-sword commander ...

Re: Online Muster Tool
I posted two updates today which include a significant change to how you muster a host. The tool now more closely follows the narrative of the muster rules, where you muster leaders before you muster commands, etc. So far, data for Brythoniaid, Norse, Infernii, and most of Anglecynn should be loaded.

I can see several interesting uses for it that go beyond just negating the marked unit's activation. It really is more of a "de-buff" than directly offensive.

Re: Battle-blinder question
the question is more about duration than how unsighted works.
Example: Gythja invokes Battle-blinder on a Lively unit of Bow-Drunes, making them unsighted. The Ysian player then activates the Bow-Drunes, Battle-blinder ends, and the Bow-Drunes, now Sighted, proceed to shoot the Gythja.

From Norse Profiles, v 1.6, Gythja Invocations: Marked unit becomes unsighted until the beginning of their next activation. Re: Extreme mustering
Looking at 7.13.1.1 and 7.13.1.2, it appears that you could Join all of your allied nobles into one unit when mustered. If there's no "authority burden" from the joined nobles, then your list is legal once you move Ffion to the allied contingent.
However, Rob may have a different answer.

Re: Nobles as unit leaders during muster
A reference to 7.13.1.1 should probably be added to the muster rules. As the joined unit is lead by the noble, and the noble is the general, does that mean that there's no impact to Command Authority (muster rules, 4.4) for that unit? For example, my Gwynedd host is led by a Teyrn (authority 88). He...

Your statement is mostly correct. As a warrior takes damage, his constitution goes down, which makes him easier to wound (reduces his Combined Constitution for the Parry - see 8.2.5.1).
