Basically I've tried to stop sorcerers being commanders, for the most part; it was making hosts very magic heavy and that's not something I really wanted.

So now it's a little bit harder to get sorcerers in, and pretty much forces people to use the host command.

Absolutely. It's also in the rulebook - see p12... although, typically, they're the wrong way around. They should be 3,2,1, not 1,2,3 - but you get the drift.
