Re: 3D Print hobby impact
Lazy as I am I am going to copy some of my thoughts that I´ve stated in the comments. It is an interesting development, for sure. But I think it will be most usefull to suplement existing Miniatures and make some conversion pieces (do a different Weapon, another Shield, an interesting Bit or somethi...

Re: Book suggestions for background reading
If you are interested in the Byzantii you absolutly have to read the Vespasian Series (and if you liked Spartacus I am sure that you will like those books too).

Re: JerzyK's minis
Impressive! The eye of the beheaded Giant is awesome, well done! You´ve captured the shocked expression that such a creature must have been showing when such a tiny mortal with a big knife relieved it of its head. Timmoth is another Masterwork, the Vibrant Colors, the Fur on the Mantle, the NMM - in...

[Lore] - Heraldic Animals
Hi Everyone (especially Hi Rob ;D - since I am hoping for an official Answer). I have wondered what Animals and Beasts would be included into the Heraldry of the different Kindred, in a World where so many Monsters and Animals (both Quadrupeds and Bipeds) are fighting alongside the Enemy. Some are e...

Re: Book suggestions for background reading
Another Book I would suggest is "Vespasian, Masters of Rome" by Robert Fabbri. Set into the Background of the Roman Invasion in Britannia the first part of the Book involves Druids and a Wickerman, a contraption constructed to imprison the Romans and Burn them alive (When I´ve first seen t...

Tell me about your Collection
Hi there - inspired by Phil listing his Infernii Collection in the Kickstarter Comments I thought it would be a good Idea to hear about your personal Mierce Treasure Hoard, what do you have (on Hand or on Order)? In my Case: Byzantii Equitus Durio, Centurion Velchior, Magus Infernum Unmasked Velchio...

Re: Tell me about your Kindreds
Hi everybody! Again I have to thank you for sharing your thoughts, it is a very interesting read, keep going! @Rick: OK, duly noted - you are very dedicated, I like that! @James: I´ve put them both into Secondary, you know as well as I that any Mierce related Resistance could only ever be temporary ...

@Skull King: They look striking, great work on the Fur, I realy like the grey tone that you´ve chosen! @Slinky: Very nice looking Ravenmen and a cute Ravenwoman! Realy nice Skintone that you´ve chosen for them and the feathers look brilliant! @Jerzy: Impressive, simply impressive - to archieve such ...

Re: Tell me about your Kindreds
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts - very interesting and a very broad distribution of the different Kindreds. As far as I can see every Kindred was mentioned at least once. @Alex: Wow, that was a surprise - you like the Errain? I didn´t see that coming ;D. I´ve made that Ysians, I think to lis...

Re: Tell me about your Kindreds
Now here is how I imagined this Thread to work: What is your Primary Kindred? - Byzantii Why do they hold a special place in your heart? - I am a fan of all things Roman, and the Legionarius Miniatures were the best Roman looking Miniatures I have ever seen. That they have access to Scorpions, Dinos...

Tell me about your Kindreds
Out of curiosity - I would like to know what Kindreds you are calling your own, and what has convinced you that this particular Kindred was the right choice for you. I would like to know what´s: - Your Primary Kindred - Your Secondary Kindreds - Your Tertiary Kindreds to explain this: The Primary Ki...

Re: -- Casual Darklands Hobby Challenge - March 2016 --
Well done JerzyK! Brugg looks very cool - awesome paintjob! Well, I wish I was able to show such progress, but I wasn´t able to do very much. My plan was to use the Basius System to make some Bases, but I noticed that two years old Green Stuff doesn´t produce the best results, so I´ve ordered new Gr...

Re: -- Casual Darklands Hobby Challenge - March 2016 --
Nice Idea - a challenge might be just the right motivation to get things going, thank you Zed for opening it up! Nice progress so far, I love seeing Mierce Miniatures come to live! Well, I think I will try my hand at it. It might be a little surprise for those who have read my Kickstarter Comments, ...

Re: Jonathon's Host of Gwynedd
Realy? Wow, wouldn´t have thought that. The metalic shield bosses, yes - but the red ones don´t look like raised areas to me, but nonetheless - great work! The banner is great, especially for the first atempt, I just mentioned the shields because the small size and consistent quality caught my eye a...

Re: Jonathon's Host of Gwynedd
Very nice Host - the big amount of Infantry looks impressive, all lined up and ready for battle. I like the variation you´ve done at the different Dragons, very nice. And as JL already said, your Metalics are awesome! //Edit: I don´t know how it happened but I totaly forgot to mention your freehands...

Re: Dan's Darklands Models
Very nice work Dan! The Skin of the Brutes and the Giant and the Eye especially. One thing I would suggest on Oghurüc: Maybe you should darken the color of his horns a bit, at the moment they are blending a bit too much with the skintone (if that was what you´ve intended I haven´t said anything :D) ...

Re: Kickstarters that Might Interest you
I thought this Kickstarter might be of interest to some of you: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/drawlab/legendary-metal-coins-season-2/description No miniatrures, but very nice coins by the look of it. Maybe not enough variety to replace the Mierce Tokens (I will get them sooner or later) but s...

Re: Dave's Darklands delights for your delectation
Thank you very much for the painting guide, I will try it when I find the time. Your Kadamastar looks awesome, very inspiring! Even if I am not the biggest supporter of the Albain I have to admit that your Gomagg looks impressive, I like what you did with the veins on his legs (and I like that Mierc...

Re: Dave's Darklands delights for your delectation
Great Minis, well done! The Eyes of the Krokdor look very lifelike, impressive! The stone effect on their weapons, their skin and the bases (well, basicly everything ;D) look ace. But one thing has caught my eye more than anything other - the armour of the Gorgonar looks stunning, can you please sha...

Re: JerzyK's minis
Stunning work! I love your Manticora, he looks very realistic. Also impressive work on the wood of the bows and on Uthreds Base! Before I had seen your Drunes I would have thought that NMM wouldn´t fit well with the more realistic and gritty Darklands Miniatures, but you´ve proven that it does if it...
