Postby AndyP » Thu May 23, 2013 5:19 pm

I thought I would start another thread instead of hijacking Orlandos as I have a lot of pictures on this.
Here is my starters and accompanying minis delivery that turned up today. Yay. :-)

All of these figures look amazing, and I almost regret not getting a few certain of those... But...

Ugh..

Geraint Nerthol by Benoit Cosse still looks terrible. :/ And not to speak about Hywel Hir. They look extremely bad compared with everything else. :/

Wow your Tarvax Chieftains axe is even more bent then mine, very much a pain in the butt to fix, still haven't gotten it to look good just yet. Let me know if you find something that works. Tried warm water, a blow dryer is next for me i think.

I already had him anyway and have painted him, he is in the WIP section of these forums. His axe was bent and I used a blow dryer to fix it. Not 100% straight but not seen a single one that is yet. Even the latest piece from Bohunn in Sorn's model gallery has a ripple on it.

Hot water does the trick, straightens it right out. Just don't use water that is too hot or leave it in for long. A quick dunk is all you need and then let it cool in the desired position and you're set.

I'll second the hot water,

It makes the resin really bendy so I just turned mine upside down and dipped it in cold water to fix it

I usually take these steps. If the first one doesn't work, then I move to the next one, etc.
1.) Hot water
2.) Hot water/cold water
3.) Hot water and carefully "stretching" the material
4.) Hot water and put a splint around it then hot water/cold water

Great collection. :D I was once most likely having the largest Darklands collection of everyone, but now when I look at my current one, it looks so tiny. :D
