In this case I had NO issues with ubiquity, purely as I always planned my Angelcynn force to be almost all infantry.

Penda + Spear on Fram
10 Duguth + Byrnes, FREE(Leader, Fane, Herald)
10 Gesithas + FREE(Leader (Shieldwall Eadric), Fane, Herald)
3 Waelwulfas + Leader

Wiglere
10 Ceorls + Bows, Daggers, Leader
10 Ceorls + Drilled, Swords, Shields, FREE(Leader (Timoth), Fane, Herald)

Waelwulf Thegn + Byrne
3 Freawulfas
5 Werwulfas + Shields, Leader, Fane, Herald
BIND Guthwulf

That list looks pretty good. Any reason you chose swords on the Ceorls? I know they can bring a bunch of different weapons, but I don't know all the differences yet. Was it a gaming reason or a modeling reason?

Personally I wouldn't use the spear on Penda as his sword and shield combo so well with each other but it's a personal preference. Would be interesting to see how this fairs

Swords were purely a cosmetic choice, and to make them look a bit different to my Duguth and Gesith, really. Spear on Penda was just because the model has one, but I could leave that off to save some gold :)
