So guess what this host looks like...

- Werwulf Thegn (2C)
Helm & Scyld

-8x Werwulfas (M)
Free Command
-8x Werwulfas (M)
Free Command
-5x Werwulf Hunters (U)
-5x Frëawulfas (Bound to a unit of Werwulfas)

- Werwulf Wiglere (2U)
Invocations: The Wulf's Claws, Tanglethicket & The Wulf's Charge

-10x Werwulfas (M)
Free Command
-2x Guthwulfas (Bound to a unit of Werwulfas)

coming in at 1998 gold.

No idea if it's playable, just working from the themes in my head. Any comments regarding playability are welcome.

I would fit one in if it wasn't for the third mainstay unit ;)
But should I feel like it I can drop 1-2 werwulfas and exchange the 2 Guthwulfas for their bigger brother.

With the new muster rules I decided to change it up a bit.

Let me know what you think of the following:

Werwulf Thegn (2C)

- 8x Werwulfas (M)
Free Command
- 4x Werwulf Hunters (C)
Free Command

Werwulf Wiglere (2U)
-The Wulf's Claws + The Wulf's Jaws

- 8x Werwulfas (M)
Free Command
- 3x Werwulf Hunters (C)
Free Command

Werwulf Wiglere (2U)
-Unseen Prowler + The Wulf's Jaws + The Wulf's Charge

- 8x Werwulfas (M)
Free Command
- 2x Guthwulfas (2U)

Coming in once again at 1999g.

I haven't used the Werwulfas yet in a game. Do you like them? I used a Waelwulf Thegn with three Waelwulfs to chew up a Bog Beast and Taoisch (sp?). The offensive power seemed great coupled with high skill.

I like the Werwulfs, but think that cost and unit size is an issue. Even with free command the 8 man/wulf minimum makes it a very expensive unit.
Think I'd be tempted to not bother with shields and run them cheap. They are one of the few +d10 weapon units in the army, so they do give out that little extra damage which is useful.

Good point on the weapons, I didn't catch that.
