Byzantii Hints and Tips

As a budding Byzantii player I was wondering if I could get any pearls of wisdom on how they play?
Do you often find if you go for Demilegionaires you lose out on other units?

I'm not going to answer yet, but I'm about to play a few games against a byzantii player in the coming weeks, and after that I'll have infos and will be interested in discussing their playstyle. I know he doesn't have (for now) Demilegionaries, nor dromedon dudes (he plays legionaries, auxilia sagitarius, erebus on behema, ballista, scorpion and sorcerer) and was wondering wether you can have a viable list without them, or if due to the tiny units of their humans, you really need bulkier Infantry ? Do you consider Demilegionaries as an auto-include unit ?
