Shieldwall modifiers
Shieldwall modifiers
On page 304, chapter 6.62.3.1 it says that Shieldwall parry modifiers are applied to Attack, Shoot and Invoke Action. However, only Attack Action parry modifier table mentions the Shieldwall modifiers.
Are Shieldwall modifiers really applied to Shoot and Invoke actions (I assume against Sight invocations only) or is the Shieldwall page outdated?

Re: Shieldwall modifiers
These are the new Shieldwall rules;
SHIELDWALL
Units in Shieldwall can now move double their PACE and stay in Shieldwall. They get a parry modifier of -3 (against enemy warriors equal to or lower than their mass), -2 (against enemy warriors of warriors 1 greater than their mass) and -1 (any other warrior).
The way I play it is that Shooting a Shieldwall offers the Defender -1 to Parry regardless of the attacking units size, and Invokes negate Shieldwall. But I may be playing those elements incorrectly.

Re: Shieldwall modifiers
The Shieldwall page is outdated, it will be as Brightblade says, with a few other differences.

Re: Shieldwall modifiers
Apologies for a ruthless hi-jack but am I right in thinking that if a weapon ignores armour, it ignores the parry modifiers for shieldwall as well?
Thanks

Re: Shieldwall modifiers
Is the reverse also true? For example if a game effect ignores the parry modifiers, does that ignore the Armour bonus from that parry equipment as well?

Re: Shieldwall modifiers
Shieldwalls again…
So warriors don't get the armour bonus to their constitution if it's negated entire, but I assume they will still get the bonus if they're in a shieldwall? After all the shieldwall bonus isn't negated entire against a monster many times larger (unless it has Hook),

No, because armour is ignored. You can only be in a Shieldwall if you can bear a shield. If it's ignored, you're not in a Shieldwall for the purposes of the attack that ignores armour.

Re: Shieldwall modifiers
Then why does Shieldwall have different modifiers for defending against larger opponents if they can't use their shields (and thus gain the modifiers) at all?

They can use their shields except when facing down a weapon that ignores armour..
30mm Shieldwall vs 30mm attacker = -3 Parry Modifier
30mm Shieldwall vs 40mm attacker = -2 Parry Modifier
30mm Shieldwall vs 50mm attacker = -1 Parry Modifier
30mm Shieldwall vs 60+mm attacker = -1 Parry Modifier
In All cases Attacker has weapon that Ignores Armour, Shieldwall Parry Modifier = 0

Being able to parry and getting your shield are two different things. You gain the armour buff but can’t parry something bigger.
Krull cares not for your shield parry but still has to cut through it
