Hellfire effects

Now this kinda just popped into my head

Hellfire effects have an immediate effect of causing your opponent to take a panic test,
My questions are:
Does a unit affected by hellfire have to take a panic reaction against all hellfire tokens gained in that action
Or do they only take 1 test against any gained in that action

Secondly
In one action, If a unit of ingilegionaiires caused 2 hellfire tokens on a unit, (assume they pass their test)
Then in a different action a unit of demilegionairres charge them and cause another 3 hellfire effects, would they take a second test ?

For point 1 you take one test for the whole action that caused the effect.

For point 2 I don’t know off hand I’d need to read the panic rules first.

One test.

Two tests.

HOWEVER. I am considering changing Panic reactions so that a unit only has to take one per hour. There's only so much you can be panicked.

That would mean that a unit that lost in combat but passed the test would then be essentially fearless for the rest of the round. Also would make big changes against Terrifying units.
I think it's better to call for the panic test whenever it is required.
Not being scared of a sneezing panda shouldn't make you immune to chtulhu :)

That's the only reason I haven't done it yet. At some point, though, mechanics have to take precedence over instances - you can't have a unit taking twenty tests per hour, it would slow the game too much.

If i play my fear causing byzantii list
I think the most amount of tests i could cause in one turn to a single unit is, 5 including 1 if they loose combat
And that amount would be pushing it to he honest
