Orders

Postby staggerlee » Tue May 31, 2016 8:57 pm

Well, I thought i had this one, but getting uncertain; Do you give separate orders to a commander and to each of his units? Or are they under the same order? Ex. Commander is under attack order, unit a is on hold and unit b is under move order?

No. Commands are given one order at the beginning of the battle, which is given to its commander; all of the units in that command are under that order unless there are exceptions (such as Feral units, which must be under ATTACK orders).

The only exception to this rule is the general - he can give any of the units in his command different orders at the beginning of the battle. The general can of course change the order of any unit within his command range, using the New Order action; he can also give a commander a new order, which he must then pass on to his units.
