Emerge and Ambush

Hi, how does this actually work.

I will admit to paraphrasing in a few places, but hopefully all will make sense (if you'd turned up to games night you could have seen/answered in person... :D )

When you emerge from terrain, you must be no further than 5" from terrain, at least 5" from the enemy, and out of sight.
When you are out of sight of the enemy due to terrain, then if my understanding is correct, the effectively means you can't see a unit either (ignoring blind arcs etc. For this point) as if you are completely within area terrain that provides cover you can only see 6".
How then do you ambush? When you ambush you get to charge on a successful skill test, otherwise you can run into combat.
If you can't see anything how can you charge?
It's not mentioned as a requirement in the Charge Action section (6.12 p168), though the engagement example (VI.X.II p.156) says that if you are feral and can't see you have to make an indirect engagement action (normally a run)
Does this mean that when ambushing from an emerge, you will only be able to successfully charge if you can appear in a units blind arc?
In your gameplay video, Timmy's Guthwulf charge out of the forest (which they emerge in so they are out of site) on a passed ambush test.
Were you wrong, is the rule wrong, or is my reading of the rules wrong!!
