Hi guys, can ye tell me how to deploy the white and gold banner tokens. Also, many units have an option to include a banner bearer - are you limited to a certain number throughout the entire host?

Hi Geoff,

The white banners are for normal unit banners and the yellow/gold one are for your host banner. I believe you are limited to one host banner but you can have as many banners in your force as you wish to purchase on top of the required mainstay or two influenced units.

So you attach them to the models in question at the start of the battle and they always count as exult tokens, unless the banner bearers die of course (and no-one is around to grab the banner back up)? Or are they only placed after some kind of inspire action? Haven't seen a reference to them in the book yet, are these particular tokens referred to on any page?

You attach at the start of the battle I believe. I’m unsure if the page currently but will look for you.

It doesn't really say when you attach them anywhere except on p34 where it says you attach banner tokens, but you may as well attach them at the start of the battle as you say. It doesn't matter whether they're attached or not in terms of game rules, it's just a way of remembering your unit has a banner token. Good practice, effectively.
