The Pope

With the Byzantii reclaiming Rome and forcing the Pope into exile do we know where he’s fled to?
Well, the Pope is "in exile" - but in reality the Byzantii/Infernii killed him and probably did some nasty things to him before he died. There is no Pope in Darklands, in 650AD at least... and they Byzantii are quite open about it, but the Christians refuse to believe he's dead and think he is still around somewhere or other.
