Zedmeister's WIP - More Fomoraic

Finally. I've had Maagaan on my painting desk for over a year, just haven't tackled him much. Over the last few days, I've made a new start. Finished his left leg as tester and now started on the rest.

My current progress:





Just waiting for the rest of the black basecoat to dry and I'm now determined to finish my favourite Darklands mini!

looking good Zed. That's far more black than I like on a mini. Black is hard!

To be fair, it is off black. Camera hasn't picked it up (dodgy iphone camera). With the cloak and Baalor's eye, it should break it up nicely.

And now complete. I've submitted him to the Darklands 2013 contest on WAMP. My little attempt to raise the profile of Darklands.



Took your advice Andy - I re-did the black into a very deep ocean green/blue. Seemed to suit the Fomoraic as lords of the sea. Was a lot easier to paint and seemed to just paint himself when I chose the new colour!

I'm pleased with how Maagaan came out so now I'm going to attempt the next lot. Yep, more Fomoraic. This time Tundaar and Kraan himself are up before the paintbrushes:



I'll try to keep more of a log this time. Let's see how these two fellas go and then, maybe I'll tackle something bigger like Shaaroc...
