Stagger's WIP thread
Hi! Finaly got around to post some of my WIP , first one out is mjagnir , what a amazing sculpt.
I still have some work to do on the base. I always have to push my self to move on, as i am never satisfied with my painting, or i'll never finish anything. Next is the skullbearer from fomoraic . Comments and critique is always welcome!

Re: Stagger's WIP thread, Norse and fomoraic
Very nice! I like the contrast between the teal and brown on the Fomoraic model. Look forward to the finished product.

Re: Stagger's WIP thread, Norse and fomoraic
Getting tired of painting fur on my Sronax unit (will upload pics soon), i have moved on to the norse trolls. Here i wanted to move away from the official color scheme.
Comments and critique is very welcome!

I like it! I am still internally wrestling over the colour scheme for mine...

Thx! It is really fun to step aside from the official color scheme. The pics is bad, need to learn how to take better pics. They seem very flat, but irl there are many different glazes of purple/ dark red/ blue. Since there is so much skin on this model i struggle to make it t interesting and to get some good contrast.

Re: Stagger's WIP thread, alternative troll colors.
Nice flesh tones there. lovely distinction between the plates and soft flesh. Wish I'd emphasised that more! Not sure about the blue loincloth to be honest.

The back looks great, especially the "lower part". Good job. Do the rest of the skin that way.

Kraan on bear looks great! I may have to add him to my "wishlist"

Re: Stagger's WIP thread
Glad you liked it Jereme. I dont have the colours name, but can check when back home, but I started with a bluish grey, and then mixed in a cold light grey. Then there are a lot of glazes with green and purple, and there will be a lot more. Also need to paint some of the raised areas much lighter.
But, I must say that the sculpt is so good that you cant go wrong painting it, like all Mierce sculpts.

Re: Stagger's WIP thread
Hi, I like the way your Bloodmaw is heading, but I'd try and move away from grey on grey, especially for such a large miniature.
You run the risk of an awesome mini looking a little bland..
You have a world of choice, grey can steer in any direction, red, green, blue, heck even a nice brown...I'd aim to get some areas dipping in one of those directions.
just my 2c...!
