Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuooooooooooooohhh! That Bog Beast looks lovely. Has a serious Giger vibe going on and I'm digging it!
The way the colours flow into eachother and the emphasis on the face are executed masterfully.

You, good sir, are a really talented painter.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Best Sven

I like that Bog Beast.

Andrew, how do you plan to attach Catrin's hands? I've never painted before assembling before, and am wondering what you will do. Do you scrape off the paint at the joint before supergluing? Do you then greenstuff the finished joint, on top of the paint at the edges? Then do you brush primer onto the greenstuff in the joints? And also is she glued into place on the base in her final position with basing material added around her feet? Or will she be removed for basing material?

It's always nice to learn from how others approach painting.

absolutely lovely... Bog Beast 6 stars out of 5. Did you use a texture paint on the back?

Thanks a lot guys, glad you like the big guy!

Sven, I was well chuffed with you comments :) Glad you picked up what I was trying to do with the face to draw attention there.

Blue Prophet, in all honesty I consider myself a newbie and haven't tried painting this way before. With regards to Caitrin's hands I'm planning on doing exactly as you guessed/suggested. I attached her to the base before I had really planned what I was doing . I have since removed her and am going to sort the base before re attaching her. But of a learning curve.

JLL, Thanks mate. Just standard miniature acrylic paints used.

It looks really good! Contrast between shadows and highlights seems OK, now you could add color variations (browns, greens,..)

Hi JerzyK. Thanks, I'm still trying to get a "feel" for getting the contrast right. I know you are right about some colour variations. I am planning on getting the unit all to this sort of level then adding green for mossy look. I want to make sure I get the balance right across the group and to make the champion stand out a bit by making him the most weather worn. If that's makes sense... I'll post something else when I get there though.

Cheers

I just can't describe how awesome your style is... I've seen a lot of great and atmospheric minis, but your "trees" hit the spot. I can't even picture what kind of painting technique could achieve this look.

Thanks Sven.

I'm really pleased with the progress that I've been making since getting back into painting. I might get my army on the table sometime in the next decade! :)

Wow - that Bog Beast is stunning, the Materials are very lifelike, impressive! But there is one thing that impressed me just a little bit more - Caitlins Face, incredible (the whole paintjob is excellent, but as someone who is afraid of painting eyes the face is the most impressive part [and I have to admit - Caitlin has a very nice face :D])!

I canĀ“t wait to see the bases for the three of them, thank you very much for sharing those pictures!
