So the model has been primed and the base scale work done. Still need to apply red bands (basing Gorgon range on Coral Snakes), eyes, teeth, horn and tongue amongst other bits I may spot later. Unfortuanly won’t get a chance to do much else this weekend as I’m heading done to London now for Salute tomorrow.

Jonathan Chester has mostly put us all to shame with his efforts. Having had a promising start getting druc done, I've had a rocky couple of months and have just finished three brutes to get a total of 22 from 100 done. I may well be able to add a few more brutes in the next couple of weeks however. Ysians are delightfully horrid. I'm a big fan. Pus, tissue damage, grime and genitals all other the shop (the ysians, not my painting table - honest) o.O

I've got more than enough Darklands to do this with. Should get some advice from my friend, seen him crank out 100 minis in a week and they look pretty good as well.

I’m known for hardly painting anything then suddenly have hobby explosion where I’d paint an entire collection stupidly quickly. It also helps I’ve had lots of backlog ready to go of awesome minis lol

@ joanna: after a good start, my production is slowing drasticly, but there's still plenty of time. A fiend might appear soon...

Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Thanks very much Antoine. I tried to use various different colours of dead/burnt/winter grass to get across the idea that the brutes have corrupted/damaged the flora around them. Not sure how effective that is but the bases at least look a bit multicoloured which is nice I suppose *shrug*

Thank you Jonathon, concerning the Scoprion minor, I think I saw another one somewhere on the forum, but can't tell where he's hiding now.

Great Work everyone!
I have a bunch of Atlanteans I started last year. I should try to at least finish them up before starting anything new.

Only another 46 to go! *thumbs up*
Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Ok, so a delayed update (it's been a very busy year) but I finally got round to doing a bit more on my Ysians.
So here are the great club versions of Uggurd & Muldo:
I particularly enjoyed painting Uggurd because of his snake skin, which I'm hoping will be decent practice for painting up some vivicocts & maybe some future minis of the Khthonic variety (funds allowing).
And as a bonus here are the four brutes I've painted so far:
Just got Lugung and the leader of this group, Brugg, to do.
PS: Also a guest feature of my hands in these pictures.

Good stuff Grizzle. As a Ysian player, those paintjobs are very inspiring!

Thanks Geoff.
We've got a bit of a Ysian showing in here, after seeing HughB's beautifully vile brutes and Hulk.
Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Brugg & Lugung are done!:
And everything so far:
I'm thinking something big needs doing next to round out what I've done so far....will have to look at what I've got.

France is full of sunflower fields, so I think it's fairly accurate actually...

Well, I thought it was a nice contrast with the grotesque Ysian forces on a nice sunflower background.
PS: Actually I do have a couple of good mats that would be great for Darklands, just need to find some time to get a game in.
Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Just as a hint on what is coming next:
And look what I found at the back of the fridge (genuine coincidence):
The presence of the pronunciation key was too good to pass up.
PS: The second picture may or may not explain the particular appendage chosen in the first.

All I see is two pictures of stubbies (alright, yeah it's not a bottle so not a true stubby, but it's short and squat still)

Yeah, great stuff Grizzle! Those lightboxes really do bring out the best in the models and show off your painting skills really well. Good luck!

Great job on the Hulk! I do like that head... might have to get it when it appears as a component one day and switch out my normal Druc head!

Yeah, I like both versions of Druc, but if I had to choose I'd go for the 'hammer' head every time.
Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Here are the first 5 of the Melusine unit:
&
I'm not sure I did my best work here, I kept going back and finding some detail or other I'd missed, getting a little impatient towards the end (however I'm also sorting out a lot of other stuff as well at the moment).

Finished the other 5, didn't realise until after that I hadn't added blood to their swords:
Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Corruptors done:
Re: 2018 - One hundred Minis Challenge
Finally done one of the models which caught my eye originally a long time before I got into Darklands:

Thanks Rob, it took me a while to get to a tone I liked.
I've now got far more painted than unpainted in my Ysian collection; starting to look like progress.
