I didn't get around to it last week but, as promised, here's the first mini I've painted in a quarter of a century.

I can't pretend I'm 100% happy - the flesh tones are a bit off, for one, and there could probably be a more developed source of light. I knew that was likely to be the case though, after so long, which is why I didn't tackle a monster first. Still, it's good to get something finished.

Bit difficult to appreciate all of your work as the lighting has bleached it a tad. With the flesh tones what is it you’re not happy about? If it’s the recesses the a thinly and controlled application of a wash can help the definition show.

Actually the other way, if anything, the wash is too dark and the general tone is too orange for my liking. Picts should be pale! You're right that you wouldn't get that from the photo', though.

Although I say I'm not 100% happy, it's probably important to emphasise that I am generally happy. I've seen far worse paintjobs from other people, so it's not bad after a 25 year break and I'll get better.
