My Collection Thus Far

Postby PrawnWonton » Wed Apr 07, 2021 5:49 pm

I love Mierce minis. The sculpts are such high detail it puts most any other brand to shame. The material is very nice to work with, I wish everyone used whatever resin formula they are made of. Anywho...
My first batch of Mierce minis was purchased towards the end of 2019, and I've spend much of 2020 painting away. After the first mini, I was pretty much hooked, and have continued to expand my Mierce collection. Here is most of what I've painted thus far. I didn't buy them according to army lists or anything, I just bought stuff I thought looked cool at the time.

Khallas, Hydrakh of Ýdron
Image

Malmord, Felltroll Kappi
Image

The Tentacled One, Midden Beast
Image

Thoth, Anax of Ýdron
Image

Mag ap Mag, Prifdynwocor of Powys
Image

Gamla Bror, Troll Gothi
Image

Jörmungand, Troll Jarl
Image

Thórrir, Troll Konungr
Image

Malacant, Servile Champion of Dis (probably my favorite thus far)
Image

Great Axe Scecchus, Servile Fiend of Dis
Image

Spike Qaano, Srónax Thuln
Image

Gaanh, Walvax Thuln
Image

Belech Sabbath, Axeman of Omens
Image

Kraan, Untain of Baalor
Image

Carrowek of Carn Dhu, War-Drune
Image

Blood-Maw, Vore
Image

Gorugg, Feral Oghurüc
Image

Kraan, Untain of Baalor on Foot
Image

Goraakk the Ripper on Foot
Image

Blunt-Claw, Vras-Lord
Image

Goraakk the Ripper on Tarvocx
Image

Cwalu, Drēaguth Warrior
Image

Grīma of Dwimorholt, Līcwāca on Manasceancan (Entered into the Reddit /r/minipainting contest, advanced category. I got second to last this time, so that is an improvement!)
Image

Wictred, Drēaguth Warrior
Image

Mordwæl, Drēaguth Warrior
Image

Hrafnar of Stafangr, Hrafn Unit
Image

The Sentinels, Kerberokolossos Unit
Image

I might have missed some. And still have quite a few in my backlog.

Some info:
More photos/angles and details available at my shitty website here: https://www.prawnshacienda.com/index.php

All of these were done with 100% oil paint. I'm a huge believer in the Cult of Oil for miniature painting. For what we do in this hobby, oil paints are simply better than acrylics in every way. The quality of Mierce sculpts really allow the oil paints to shine and get super good results in a fraction of the time that it would take acrylics to do the same thing. I'm by no means a professional, only been painting for less than 2 years. Feedback is appreciated! Hopefully some of these pics will help inspire someone.

Hugs and kiss to the Mierce team for making such badass minis that are so fun to paint!

Woww.... seriously impressive Prawn! I love all of them - but especially Grima on his Manasceancan - that is superb work right there.

Thanks for showing off our miniatures everywhere, and I'm very glad you're liking them!

Cheers

Prawn... Dude,

That is some major work there...

Second to last, jeez, you was robbed mate..

Especially love the leathery look of the Maws skin, the glowing eyes on Kraan, the Eye of Baalor on Quaano and the Walvax, and the lightening detail on the Gothi's hammmer, nice finishing touch..

Keep up the great work buddy..
Devlin Brightblade, Lord of Saxon Hammerwich, Slayer of Trolls, Tamer of Manticores, Petter of Flint Flang the Kill Thing from the Infernal Pits..

As you slide down the Bannister of Life, may the Splinters be kind...

Thanks, guys!

I'm not too bothered by the second to last in the contest. There are a lot of absurdly good painters in the minipainting subreddit. The first contest I entered with Kraan on his bear, and only got 1 vote in total. So second to last is a big improvement :)

Been a little while, there are some new additions:

Caius Domitius, Tiamatus Secundus
Image

And his Skorpion friends
Image

And also:
Slaughterers, Krokodar Unit
Image

Not a ton more, but I haven't been painting for a while. Revving back up, though, have a lot of stuff assembled, or partially assembled. Also have some videos of the painting process, but I haven't figured out what to do with those, hosting-wise.
Thanks again for the great models!
