Talos

Postby Chad » Mon Mar 04, 2013 3:18 am

This is my take on Talos, shamelssly ripped... inspired by Sébastien Picque's incredible Talos for Mierce. :D

I'm not basing him yet as I want to wait and put him on a plastic base. Please give me any feedback as I want to get better at painting.

I think the bronze effect turned out really well, but the glowing eyes thing could use some work. i know youtube has a bunch of tutorials for space marine eyes that are good. (I'm not a painter, so i can't really help with the best way to do it or anything).

look forward to seeing more!

Thanks, its the first time I've tried a glowing effect. I followed one them for the eyes. I guess it'll just take practice :)

No shame in copying another paint job. If it's not broke, don't fix it I say! Good work!

Great job, and you've got the bronze effect perfect for such a large model, looks like it really is a bronze cast :)

The bronze looks great! The glowing eyes could use a bit more practicing. You now need to sculpt a dozen tiny, tiny men on a shore and make the Jason-diorama I've been going on about earlier. :D
