My Mierce work

Well, I finally got of my lazy backside and threw together a few clumsy photos of my average painting examples for you all to see.
Note that whatever else, my photography is actually worse than my painting ability...
I slapped down some paper towel on the kitchen bench, and snapped these with my S7 Edge (Not the explody S7), no expense spared!
I then spent 10 times as long cropping them all!
You'll notice very few have survived without some minor changes...whether a new weapon, or more significant mod...I seldom paint as is...
Mostly I attach fewer accouterments, as they tend to fall off.
However, first I have to say:

Araigh Not-an-ent
Probably the quickedst mini I've ever done, took about 15 minutes all up.

Maalvor (sloth-man?)
Not my favourite colour scheme, I honestly tried everything on him...!
Technically not finished yet, still have to do the mouth, and base it.

Malacant (Mini me)
The mini Krull...great mini...and, yeah, I went red on him, but it's OK cos I stuck him on a lave-hell base.
That shield is a bitch to stick on, you can see where the pin came through that I used to try and stop it falling off every time my cat walks by.
BTW, he's not quite as bright as that...the camera has magnified the redness!

Malmord (troll king)
Wonderful sculpt!
I separated the spears in his left hand, so they pointed straight.
Forgive the flash in these:

Scechus (then draw us like your French ladies)
I had a spare weapon after a miscast replacement, so I doubled-edged his axe.
Damn, he's gripping that so tight he's put a bend in the wood, the power! (That's my excuse..I'm sticking to it)

Tykho (someone can't count)
After assembly I decided that something was wrong...maybe it that this creature was balancing on the point of two claws in a fashion that would make a ballerina wince?
So a rummage through my considerable stash of parts accumulated over a 30 year period, and I netted the perfect extra legs to bring this creature to a more anatomically correct stance, don't ask me from whence thy came, this is lost n the fog of history.

Ulmons (biceratops)
An older model, and a direct copy from one I saw on the interwebs...down to the gold plates.

uuthul (PLEASE ALT THIS TO CTHULHU!)
An amazing mini, I switched the anchor to a hand drafted harpoon for several reasons.
1. Anchors have the flukes at 90 degrees to the cross beam, so the anchor won't just lie flat on the ocean floor
2. NO ship in the time of Mierce history would have an anchor that big!
3. You can't wield a swinging weapon underwater (hence, spears and harpoons..right?)
4. It looks better, he's stabbing down at the puny humans!
This is actually the third incarnation of the harpoon, after I lost one blade from the best design, I'll have to redo it again, as I'm not pleased with this one.
Again the camera has pushed the glossiness to the max, it aint that shiny IRL...
And, yeah, the hand came loose, I'll have to fill that gap on the wrist...

Wyvern (Thypagwyern...something)
This is the second oldest Mierce mini I own, and I only finished it this year!
It went through numerous redesigns and repaints before I decided to just copy the Mierce official paint job...

Ygandr (Ye gads a A Hydra!)
Another one that got lost at the back of the table for far too long!
He's finished, but I'm sourcing a new base for him...

Love your collection! Funny that I'm not the only one having Mierce models lying on the desk for years before they get some paint
My first one was Ysian's Rose of Ker-Ys back as a "Banelord" (don't know how many years ago...) and I primed her last week
