Sorry there are no pics of the interior of the state rooms but we were pushed for time and had been in there last visit so didn't go in this time.
As I always say. At the end of the day.................it goes dark :-)

Wow, nice! I've been reading about Uhtred in Cornwell's Saxon Stories. I'm jealous at your ability to access such cool sites. That's one of the things I LOVE about Darklands, the reference material is real, even the fantastical stuff comes from our own folklore/mythology.

It is a good day out Andy. One of the best castle locations I've been to.
No dogs Mal but there were a pair of Rooks sitting on a wall at the far end of the grounds. Saw them and thought of you :-)
