Peter's Norse Thread
Been working on my first Darklands model for a Norse Host.
Still some work to do and of course, the blood effects, but I thought I'd share the progress.

Great work on that Bloodmaw.
Re: Peter's Norse Thread
Wow that is awesome, was it airbrush or paintbrush?

Re: Peter's Norse Thread
Thanks for your interest everyone.
Technique is;
Step 1. Zenithal Undercoat. Black Spray directed from underneath, White Spray directed from top.
Step 2. Paint Brush Basecoat (using a very large brush!) Brown Grey (Scale 75)
Step 3. Airbrush, successively lighter shades Brown Grey/Smoke Grey/Smoke Grey (Scale 75)
Step 4. Airbrush Shadows with Petroleum Grey (Scale 75)
Step 5. Details, Mouth, Teeth etc. done with a brush using Vallejo colours as they have a glossier finish than Scale 75.
Next Step > BLOOD!
Then on to a unit of 5 Trolls.

Blood starting to go on now, looking pretty vicious!
I also had chance to start on my troll unit and hope to put a WIP for the first one up this weekend. Has been a great experience working with glazes to get the desired effect so looking forward to showing you guys.

Looking good Peter. Is that UHU mixed with some Tamiya X27?

Good stuff. I clearly procrastinate way too much when it comes to painting. Had my trolls basecoated for nearly a year

don't worry dude...the Trolls being painted simply means that the Malifaux, the Kingdom Death, The Super dungeon Explore, The Barbarian Dude, the Ax Faction piles are not! Basecoated for a year at least shows good intentions
Re: Peter's Norse Thread
I'm just easily distracted by other projects. Just got my garage sorted out ready to try and finish my terrain board too. Need to finish at least one project this summer

They do look very good in that colour scheme, but I am still deciding on the colours for mine...
