Trample sightless strike and attacks from blind arc.

Postby Icchan » Tue Sep 11, 2018 10:54 pm

Kolossus of Bronze (and many other large units) have Trample combat weapon with Sightless Strike, does that mean those units cannot be blind beset, ie. get attacked from behind?
Can they use Parry equipment that doesn't have Sightless Strike to Parry hits from their Blind Arc? Also I assume Invocations and Shots in blind arc are still difficult avoids?

Not quite... Sightless Strike (or Shot, or Invoke) simply means the warrior can strike enemies in his sight arc and in his blind arc. It doesn't mean he can't be blind beset. Only warriors with Blind Parry can parry Attacks from their blind arc; there shouldn't be any Sightless Parry abilities anywhere and if there is they need to be removed.

Nice, accidentally played it correctly then. I would make taking down the Kolossus pretty hard otherwise, but a single attack from a Skipari two handed axe attack in the back (no parry bonuses from shield or sword, no armor bonus from shield, assuming we played that correctly) took down almost 70 hitpoints. Reward for good maneuvering.

Kolossus was too busy fending of the 7-8 holumenn in it's front to notice the little bugger chopping it's leg off from the rear :D
I wonder if automatons even feel pain...

They don't feel pain, but they're obviously aware that they're being damaged and don't want to be damaged... but it's not pain. Bit of lore there!

Cheers
