Re: AlaskaPaul's general painting nonsense.....
Now that's one awesome base. Painting is great, too, but base is just wonderful. What materials do you use, and can you recommend a tutorial (or write your own?)?

Re: Sword Melusine
I like the daemonette arms on the last one. I totally mangled my Tecass - will have to post pictures later - had to do some major reconstructive surgery after accidentally clipping her arm in the wrong place... On a side note - are you planning to put any inserts/sand/"landscape" into the ...

I was reading something random on Reddit and thought about this one for the Norse army: They need a messenger squirrel! It could be a really tiny miniature that can not be attacked (too tiny) and can not attack back (yeah, too tiny!), but it'd facilitate communication between the general and command...

Names and pronunciation
I am sure this has been brought up somewhere, but it'd be incredibly nice if someone who knows how to pronounce welsh names could compile a list of names from Darklands for us non-Cymraeg speakers. For example, Iain Banks has a book "Raw spirit", where at the end he lists a bunch of whisky...

Re: Lessons learned from KS 2?
I am a person, a real person with feelings, not a corporate machine with doublespeak on auto. You get the heart of me in Darklands, and that's what makes Darklands what it is. So I will always bemoan the fact that such companies produce rubbish miniatures I'm afraid, because I personally don't see ...

Re: Modular gaming table
This is just great - thank you for posting! Sometimes I see these things and part of me thinks "whoa, it's so easy I could do it over the weekend!" But the other, smarter part of me says "NOPE! You couldn't!" I admire people who do these things though. Some day, I'll maybe ascend...

Re: Lessons learned from KS 2?
I fear the Kickstarters was a bit rushed That is exactly my feeling. That said though, I am happy they didn't delay it by another week, because who knows what's going to happen with USD/GBP exchange rate on Thursday :) hundreds of mediocre/average models never understood why, why do people do that...

"Seeping" resin batch from KS1
Hi all, I figured I'd post it here as someone may find it useful. If you remember, during the first KS shipment there was some issue with the resin mix that turned out "uncleanable" - basically, after you washed it, it just kept oozing some weird liquid (I yet have to figure out what it is...

Re: Storage and Transport solutions
For transport, I just wrap them in paper towels and carefully pack up into a regular cardboard box. This is not WHFB - so only a few miniatures to pack up - and it seems to work OK so far. It's a shame to store such minis in the box though. IKEA has several decent options: Hemnes glass door cabinet ...

I have to admit - didn't paint that one myself...
Picked her up at a yard sale for 15 bucks a couple years ago - and turned out to be a limited edition model, i think. Total bargain.
Also doubles as an alarm clock (that goes off at random around 3-5 AM) - how cool is that!

New York City
Anyone in the City? I moved a couple months ago - and my girlfriend will be moving in some time in spring/summer 2014 - so guess what: it means I can play whatever games I want for as long as I want* - but I don't really know anyone in the area. I have a ton of MM from previous KS, so if you want to...
