Looking for games in the Sheffield Area
As the subject says I am Sheffield based . . I would struggle with a 6 x 4 table at my place at the moment but could easily do smaller games. I do have lots of terrain and bits though. Will soon have 2 or 3 armies of a usable size (up to 1,500 silver). Once they relocate I expect that I can use some...

Re: Sheffield Slaughter 2021 - Darklands Event
Well that was a blummin good time! Appreciate all the help and patience from everyone at my lack of rules knowledge and (sometimes) surly disposition at the consequent series of "gotcha" moments! The last game on Saturday was a tough one for me as there was a lot to learn and it was late f...

Eek!
I'll brush up on anti-snake tactics then
The current pinnacle of Albainn tactics is hit them with a big lad as early and often as possible. Try not to die first.

Re: Sheffield Slaughter 2021 - Darklands Event
Fantastic Rob, I’ll send my monies if I can make a list with what I have and the leaders I ordered last weekend. EDIT: sadly, even if my ordered bits arrive I can’t make a legal list after the changes. Will try to sort it for next time. Pretty bummed as I just spent a while painting the lot. Need to...

Re: Sheffield Slaughter 2021 - Darklands Event
Ok, I’m confused. I was hoping to put in for this today but the rules seem to require an edition that isn’t available and the musters have now all changed so I can no longer make a legal list. What rules are being used at the event and what muster rules are valid?

Re: Sheffield Slaughter 2021 - Darklands Event
Now I have to figure out whether or not to go FULL GIANT or lots of smaller gribblies? The former does make my decisions fewer each turn . .
How are the games structured? Is it area control or mungo smash or a mix?

How n00b friendly is this? I imagine I’ll be awfully slow. Like my giants (well, daddy giants at 1,500).

Re: Kindred Musters Updated
I'm getting myself in a muddle with ubiquity.
Are Warriors of Baalor under a Tain of Baalor mainstay or mainstay(2)?
The compel rule suggests the latter but their usual (2) cost has me wondering . . .

Any UK events these days?
Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask, but where do I look for UK events to get my loverly stuff on the table?

Ah, I had missed that the tains also granted the status. Not so bad then

Re: Updated Kindred Musters
Ive also got a couple of questions here. The way the ubiquity and mainstay requirements works now is especially harsh on anyone using Formorians. It essentially prohibits a warlock general as you'd have no mainstay units to choose from. I understand the intent of the change but think it might need s...

Re: Fomoraic Muster - Skirmish
Looks right to me :) I was looking at the following (with less working out). Untain of Baalor on Ipracx w/ shield - Kraacken - Warlock of Baalor -- 2 Sronax w/Gultain -- 3 Tarvax w/Gultain. Though I could put the Sronax under the Untain too. Mostly chosen for painting variety and to allow me to try ...

I think you're right. I didn't read carefully enough. I'll be more careful.
Cheers.

Re: Rules quirks/notes for consideration
Fair enough. 8.2.2.6 the wounded warrior. Whilst I completely understand and agree with this concept from a bookkeeping simplification point of view it effectively means that monstrous (and other) infantry units can be able to ignore and loss of attack dice through injury as long as they have a sing...

No worries, no response required. I'll post 'em as I spot em and you can get em sorted. That's what KS and beta is about after all

P.29 example, I think the Werewulfas is the wrong way round in the picture.

Rules quirks/notes for consideration
I thought I'd start a thread to collate constructive comment on rules;
2.3.8.8 - if we're rounding to the nearest inch why is the minimum 0.5"?
More later . . .

Re: Pre-painted Anglo-danish hamlet
The problem with the 28mm stuff is that most of the humans here are around 40mm and will make the houses look like toy town
I'm going to wait until stuff arrives and then take a view from then.

Re: Second Kickstarter speculation
I can't see the need for Vras either. I honestly think they exist only due to the early bane beast support of WHFB.
I'd rather not see more.
