Re: Direct Engagements with Scouts/Flankers
Thematically I think it's correct that flankers don't have access to the direct engagement actions, as it specifies that units on flank orders are keen to take the enemy by surprise wherever possible. If you are on flank orders you have to be deployed off the table, and if you are changed to flank ...

Re: Soaring: Flankers, Scouts or both?
On page 148, the rules say you can pre-position your Soarers in the sky as Circlers as long as they are under Flank orders. Very cool, I like this. Can Scouting units be pre-positioned in the same way? Page 135 says units under a Scout order can Soar, but doesn't mention being placed in the sky pri...

Re: Marching
Can a March action be taken by a unit under Flank orders? According to page 135, the answer is no. But page 146 indicates that they can. This is significant because it can potentially apply to your allied contingent which can be up to 1/3 of your host. Yea, page 146 is the key there. Units under FL...

Quick couple questions about her rules. Firstly does her spell stack with weapons that already have a +D10 damage or is it a flat bonus that won't stack? No; it doesn't, but I'll make sure that's explicit - I can see there'd be a grey area. Second if you use her crown of fire artefact can she heal ...

It can be however you like. It's not a direct move, so whatever. It would say "Direct Movement" if it was a straight line. See the Movement rules, back of section 3.
Additionally, this is not a playtest question - I'll move it to Rules Discussion.

Rob, I do have a question, How does Timmy include the Wiglere in the Duguth along with the Thegn? Re: Re-engaging
No, he's talking about re-engaging if you have warriors that haven't fought (or combat weapons that haven't been used). This stops the conga line. So, the front rank slaughters the enemy, no enemy to fight and they can't Attack Move back in, and some warriors have yet to fight. Thus, they re-engage....

Hah, awesome. I guess it would always be that you had three Hippoxa ;o) Yea, looks okay. Hmmm... it looks like an error has snuck in here. If you're not fearsome, or are fearsome and your opponent is terrifying, you shouldn't be afraid if you pass your VALOUR TEST; only if you fail.

Simply put, "against" is applied whenever something affects the unit in question. In your example, the Tuanagh unit does not have to re-roll because that test does not have an immediate effect on the Gabrax.

Looking at 6.65.2.1.3 Breaking a Skirmish Dammit there's a typo. It should be 6.63. Sigh. It seems that it's at the controlling player's discretion whether to remain a skirmish unit. To break a skirmish voluntarily, yes. What about a skirmish unit engaged in combat? As the warriors attack move and ...
