Khthones no gorgons

I need some help, just got the rulebook and am digesting it in small bits. I have some khthones on order (only have a hydrar and vasilisk at the moment). I was wondering how to build an effective list without a gorgon or other snake (excepting hydrar). My preference would go to savrar and hydrar with some bigger monsters as backup. Which of the 2 should be the main?

Also did the realms change with the last muster update or am I just remembering weird stuff (didn't everything have gorgon realm before)?

To be fair, the Khthones are designed around the Gorgon; that's why you're finding it difficult!

The best way to go would probably be Sávrarch and at least three units of Sávrar, which would fulfil your Mainstay cheaply, and then populate the rest with Hydrar and monsters.

Thanks rob, kinda thought that would be the anwer. Still thinking about getting Medusel, as she's the only gorgon I like for now.
