Mighty blow

Postby wildbill » Wed May 11, 2022 3:44 pm

Really struggling to see what mighty strike skill does.

It seems its in a perpetual loop..........

Page 88 mighty strike may be used during the disabling strike step of attack sequence.

Okay over to attack sequence.

Nothing in the strike section about mighty strike?
Okay onto the attack action sequence page 213.

Disabling strikes.........no info on how they work???

Okay am I missing something here?

Over to the collective.......... ;)

It's on p213 - the Combat Sequence. The Disabling Strikes are there.

Yip it's there as a reference.....
Disabling Strikes : attack actions from attacking warriors with weapons that can cause entangling, immobile strikes or mighty strikes may be performed in this step.
But no where does it say what a disabling strike does? There's no other reference in the book other than that combat sequence page

I've scoured the rule book, unless I'm missing something?

Well, not missing - perhaps not connecting. A "disabling strike" is a catch all term for weapons that cause entangling, immobile or mighty strikes.

It just means that whenever a "disabling strike" happens, it could be any of those three.

Okay I think I've got it now.

Mighty strike means that on a fated roll you get to knock out one enemy.
Think it's down to the wording change to fated mighty strike which confused the heck outa me.
There's alot to unpack in these rules, and sometimes it takes a good few convos back and forth before the fog clears.

Got it now

Cheers Rob

Wildest signing out for the night.... ;) 8-)

Yeah, always takes a while - the rule book is a reference book, really; it's always best with any game to have it played in front of you to pick it up, then you can refer to the rule book afterwards.

My offer of a demo game up in Carlisle still stands!

Cheers
Rob
