Norse Troll Gothi

Question about the troll gothi
It says he can only take invocations that deal lightning damage,

So can it take the invocation thunderous sky as that spell doesn't directly deal lightning damage but can do with an after effect ?

I believe yes as it still does lightning damage in the end

That's from 2 years ago. Don't you think Rob's answer from 2 months ago takes precendence over that one? I mean, he had 2 years of playtesting and rule overhauls.
