Inspire Actions

Postby cwesterman13 » Mon May 23, 2022 5:47 am

Per the inspire action in the rule book; people who can perform inspire actions include nobles, but the listing following nobles doesn't allow companion/influenced warchiefs or the general's companions (apart from host's... roles) to do so - is this correct? surely the General's closest advisors should be able to successfully inspire his troops?

Companions and influenced warchiefs are still nobles.

"The text specifically is:
Noble: the Inspiring unit is either the host's general (or
replacement general), one of the host's commanders (or a
replacement commander), the host champion, the host
paymaster, the host herald or the host banner bearer..."

Which precludes companions and influenced warchiefs by exception - additionally, each subclass of noble listed has a specific set of units they are able to inspire, and neither companions nor influenced warchiefs have such a set listed.

Oh, I see what you mean.

If the nobles are not those listed in the Inspire action - the general, a commander, a host warrior etc - they can't Inspire. It's as simple as that I'm afraid.

Companions (that aren't host warriors) are his mates, not his leaders. His leaders are his commanders and his host warriors. Only such warriors should be able to Inspire.

Cheers
Rob
