X damage (N)
X damage (N)
I'm not finding a rule that explains how damage types with a number are supposed to work. I'm assuming that N (the number) is a multiplier for the number of effect tokens caused. For example, a Draiggoch (mass 15) with Fire Damage (2) would apply 30 tokens for each fated shot or fated damage roll.

Hmm, neither can I. It should be on p84 somewhere. I'll have to pop an addenda on. As always, I miss things!
Whatever the N states is the multiplier for the amount of effect tokens, and your example is correct.
Cheers
