Trample Action vs Trample Weapon: Strength Restriction?

Postby Dan Pratt » Tue Mar 01, 2016 6:31 pm

You cannot perform a trample action against an enemy warrior if their strength is greater than half yours. Does this apply to "trample" type weapons too?

Example: A guthwulf cannot perform a trample action against an oghur (strength 6 vs 4). Can the guthwulf still use his trample type combat weapon against the oghur?

The trample attack on any models profile can be done regardless of their opponents size. Iw a guthwulf could still trample attack a draiggoch even though it's half the unit strength. I hope this makes sense

It does, thanks for the confirmation. That's how we've been playing it.

Yeah before I thought you had to be equal or larger but after rob explained it was the equivalent of booting your opponent in the shin it made sense lol

Could someone flesh out a bit more what's being discussed here? I have a feeling I understand, but at the same time, I want to cut off my own questioning before I really get to play XD

There are two forms of trample in the game. One is where you move through a unit of 50% or lower strength and the other is a form of attack in combat. The original poster wanted to know if the attack version would only work on smaller models like the move through version. Hope this helps

Right, there is a Trample direct engagement action and a Trample weapon type (like "sword," "bow," "axe," etc)

As the lads have said above, weapons of the type "Trample" can be used against any enemy warrior.

Cheers
