Coffa Tree V - Will it happen?

Hello everyone,
I hope everyone is keeping safe in these unprecedented times.
Unfortunately due to the social distancing requirements and the current ban on public gatherings due to COVID-19 Coffa Tree is looking less and less likely to be happening this year.
I am keeping a regular check on updates from central government and if restrictions lift and stay lifted I may be able to book in the event this year, looking like something around October to December at the current safe bet range.
I will keep you all up to date on what is happening, at the very least if it doesn’t happen this year I can assure you I will be organising the event as soon as possible when things return to some semblance of normality.
Take care everyone and keep safe.
Regards,
Jonathon

Thanks, Jon.
Hope you're well. I would think at this point it just won't happen. I recently pulled the plug on my 40th birthday plans (a day of gaming in the pub) in June, for the same reasons.

Hi Lee,
I have that particular feeling too but I'd like to be optimistic that something can happen at the end of the year but as I said, all depends on lockdown policy changes.

Well, let's hope we are allowed out to play games again sometime!

Our venue is now opening this week to members, for those unaware it is a Conservative Club, and the gaming club have not yet got a date to go back but this will be discussed at the next committee meeting.
I will probably be able to confirm nearer the end of August if a November event can go ahead but I’m taking the cautious approach for now.

Let's hope we're not mid-second-wave by then. Look forward to hearing more, though - at the moment November's something I may be able to do but my partner wouldn't forgive me for attending anything in the next month or two.

You feel rusty? I haven't managed to play a game since Jon, Andy, Dale and Scott came down here last year in, what, October?

So following the latest set of restrictions I think it is safe to say Coffa Tree will not be running this year unless by some divine intervention occurs.
I will keep constantly reviewing the situation and once we are in a position that groups can meet up again I will look to book the event in.

I'm sure I can be content with being the 3rd best Darklands Player in the world for a little bit longer..
