I thought I would share with you some pictures of the new 5th Edition D&D campaign my friend, Jericho, is DMing.
The First Adventure - Kobolds and Cultists Invade the Town!
A few pics from the first adventure-
Attack on the road - Two cultists, four kobolds against the intrepid party of adventurers. A crypt is seen in the background but goes undetected by the party.
Approaching the town around the nearby castle ...the party sees 6 kobolds attacking two villagers.
The elf ranger engages first to save the villagers ...
The female paladin joins the fray...
Being victorious, the party escorts the villagers deeper into the town and is ambushed by a cultist leader on the bridge with three cultists jumping the party from behind...
After defeating the three cultists, the party engages the leader.
While not shown in the pictures, we were victorious. In the next adventure, we will continue to clear the town and, hopefully, get an audience with the king in the castle...

More Bohun Otherworld ogres. Otherworld miniatures are awesome because their models look like the monsters in the old school first edition D&D Monster Manual. Bohun is painting the models to be true to the descriptions (and colors) in that Monster Manual. Except, of course, these guys like to tattoo themselves with scars!

Here's Nakatan's Sorcerer. He took a long time to paint it, but his skills are incredible.
Here's Nakatan's Sorcerer in a DF cavern.
He and his two comrades are surrounded by a dangerous group of trolls. Fortunately for the party of adventurers, the Sorcerer has the high ground.
The fighter is surrounded by three of the fearsome beasts-
The ranger is taking on the largest of the group of trolls-
The group of trolls is led by a shaman perched on a high ledge, shouting instructions and readying his spells-

Yes. Please keep posting. You seem to get the models painted quicker and in some cases better than Mierce do. It is useful and inspirational. If only you could get Seb to put together a WIP thread for us!

Wow! Just WOW! All of this stuff is great Sorn, just beautiful!
I love the paintjobs on this minis, and the dioramas you set up are wonderful!
I wish I could walk into a room like this after a hard day of work, if only they made houses with decent basements here in Los Angeles! Perhaps if I move back to the midwest someday I'll get a house of decent size for a massive miniatures showcase!
Please keep showing off your amazing collection and 'encounters' (that's what I"m calling the elaborate scenarios you make on the ornate tables you have), they are great fun, and better than most anything I've ever seen a major miniatures company build.

The next adventure happened yesterday.
The party:
Sorn, the Barbarian
Lady Emerys, the Paladin of Tyr (figure subject to change in future)
Rasec, the High Elf Wizard
Bludrac, the Drow Ranger (figure subject to change in future)
Jericho has put up a nice adventure blog at:
https://sites.google.com/site/theeventi ... s-campaignHe does a much better job at describing the adventure. But here's the gist of it-
Having defeated the cultists on the bridge while escorting the townsfolk to the castle, the party presses on to the castle. Traversing the bridge, the party spots another group of kobolds attacking townsfolk and heroically engages them-
After making short work of the kobolds, the party enters the castle and meets with the captain of the guard. The captain sends the party on a mission to protect the mill of the town from the incursion.
The party travels to the mill through the town and then the forest...
And gets ambushed by three incredibly large, dire, war dogs of the cultists. A fierce battle ensues with the ranger falling to the large grey dog.
After emerging victorious and reviving the ranger, the party climbs up the hill to the mill, which is next to a recently abandoned guard tower. Group of 6 cultists make their way up to the mill. The party fails their stealth checks (with miserably bad rolls), resulting in the party's carefully orchestrated ambush preparations being for naught. A fierce combat ensues...
The party was again victorious, successfully protecting the town's mill. The party returns to the castle only to find it being stormed by more cultists. Many dead townspeople and guards are strewn about the main gate. Unfortunately, the tide of battle is turning against the town protectors as evidenced by the attackers having managed to pry the main gate open. The party puts up a strong defense on the drawbridge, facing a heavy assault by 4 kobolds, 2 cultists and a mercenary.
Guards position themselves to protect the citizens within the castle walls
The fighting is fierce but the party turns the tide back around.
The party is victorious and is able to knock the mercenary unconscious, bringing him into the castle for a less-than-gentle interrogation by the party and the captain of the guard.
The interrogation bears fruit. The mercenary informs the party and the captain of an evil presence that has made its home in the graveyard near the town. The party agrees to investigate.
Appearing to sense the presence of the party, something emerges from the catacombs entrance - a formidable undead warrior, a wight! The party bravely attacks, with the barbarian and the ranger's melee attacks being largely ineffectual.
Fortunately, the wight's defenses fail to protect it from the paladin's righteous fury, and she skewers the wight with multiple mighty blows, bolstered by radiant damage.
The paladin's efforts secure her the MVP slot of the game. And the adventure ends with the party having advanced from first to second level. Stay tuned for the next adventure when our intrepid adventurers will explore the catacombs...

I am happy you like the pics. Regarding the castle, it was handmade. It took my friend two years to build it for me, but it was well worth the wait.

there are some really special paint jobs here. My personal favourites being Mjagnir, Gamla and Rollo (almost a big, medium and small fave). I'd be quite interested to know which model is the one that you get out of the cabinet time and again to oogle over Sorn.
